Peter Drucker, Maven Extraordinaire
An outpouring of articles and testaments have been written upon Peter Drucker's passing. In THF terms, Drucker stands out as a Maven on the order of Da Vinci - operating at Level 3 and beyond. In my previous post I discussed the levels of deepening of a Relater. In Drucker we see an example of a Maven who did the same. Not only was he encouraged by his parents growing up, as told by this Bloomberg article, but he went much further throughout his life. Not only did he invent the study of management as a field unto itself, but he found ways to connect history, psychology, economics and many areas to it. As a result, he developed the ability to make "many-to-many" connections between seemingly unrelated subjects, weaving them together to generate uncanny insights.
He will be missed, but his example lights the way for all Mavens on their journey.
